FAQ

What Close Point does, what stays with you, and how working together goes.

Working with Close Point

What does a transaction coordinator do?

A transaction coordinator manages the paperwork, deadlines, and communication of a real estate deal from executed contract to closing. That means building the timeline, coordinating the lender, title, and the cooperating agent, keeping documents organized and compliant, and updating everyone along the way.

Who is Close Point a good fit for?

Agents who know they shouldn’t be chasing signatures, double-checking deadlines, or refreshing their inbox every five minutes, and who are ready to operate like a business, not a burnout machine.

How do I get started?

Book a discovery call. We’ll review your workflow, transaction volume, and what support would be most helpful. If it’s a fit, we’ll set you up in an onboarding session, and you can send your next file.

Do you work with teams?

Yes. We work with solo agents and teams alike, all at the same flat price per file.

What areas do you serve?

All of Ohio. Everything we do happens online, so agents anywhere in the state get the same standard and the same flat price.

Your role and ours

Do you write the contract?

No. Contract drafting and offer terms stay with you as the agent. Once the contract is fully executed, we jump in and handle everything from contract to close, so you don’t have to babysit the file.

Do you help in negotiations?

We don’t negotiate on your behalf. That’s your magic. But we support the process by tracking deadlines, prepping addenda for signatures, and making sure everything gets to the right people on time.

Do you communicate directly with my clients?

Yes, when it makes sense. We handle transaction-related communication like timelines, scheduling, and status updates, while keeping you looped in so you stay fully in control of the relationship.

Do you communicate with lenders, title, and the other agent?

Absolutely. We coordinate with every party involved to keep timelines on track.

Do you attend inspections or closings?

We don’t attend in person, but we handle scheduling, confirm access, track documents, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Files and timing

How do I send a file?

Fill out the intake form on the Current Clients page, then add Close Point to your loop on dotloop so we can see every document. The form walks you through everything we need for a contract, a listing, or a compliance-only file.

When will my file be set up?

Complete files received by 3 PM Eastern on a business day are uploaded and set up the same day. Anything that arrives later is started the next business day.

What are your business hours?

Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern, excluding major holidays.

How do I see where my file stands?

When your file opens, you’ll get a link to its transaction portal by email. Bookmark it to see your timeline, documents, and milestones anytime.

Pricing

How much does it cost?

Listing Coordination is $200 per listing. Contract to Close is $425 per file for a buyer or a seller, and $600 for dual agency. Land transactions are $300, Compliance Only is $175, and Post-Close Client Care is a $75 add-on.

Do I pay you if my transaction doesn’t close?

No. If you don’t get paid, we don’t get paid. Simple as that.

Is there team or volume pricing?

No. Every agent pays the same flat price per file, so you always know exactly what a file will cost.

What is Post-Close Client Care?

A $75 add-on that keeps your client relationship warm after closing. We add your client to your CRM, record their information and interests, coordinate a closing gift you approve and pay for, and set reminders for follow-ups, their home anniversary, and birthdays for your clients and their family. Add it right on the intake form when you submit your file.
